Many solo and small law firms think AI policies are something only bigger firms need. But AI is already making its way into daily practice—through research, drafting, email, intake, admin work, and staff or contractor use—often without anyone setting clear ground rules. This course looks at the risks that can develop when AI is being used casually or behind the scenes, including confidentiality issues, weak supervision, unreliable output, and broader ethics and compliance concerns. Attendees will come away with a better sense of where those risks tend to show up and what a sensible, right-sized AI governance approach can look like for a smaller firm.
