MODERATED-This CLE will cover the critical ethics issues involving multijurisdictional practice and avoiding the unauthorized practice of law (UPL). The CLE will provide an overview of Rule 5.5’s general prohibition on UPL, exceptions to Rule 5.5, and various jurisdictional approaches to navigating UPL. It will also provide an analysis of the current developments in the law surrounding UPL and will conclude by providing practical tips for those involved in multijurisdictional practices.
