In this program, we will introduce common cognitive and cultural biases that legal professionals are likely to experience, or encounter in others, in the course of practicing law. Using real-life examples, we will then explore how these biases impact legal professionals’ decision-making, specifically in interactions with clients and colleagues. By using a question-and-answer, conversational format centered around real examples, this program will provide a framework for participants to reflect on their own lived experiences, and to identify how they personally can engage more mindfully and effectively with diverse clients and colleagues.
