Philip A. Greenberg, Esq., who has been a litigator in the State and Federal Courts for 52 years, has updated the course he taught two years ago. He will give the attendees, drawing upon his own experience and the experience of others, ways to succeed in eve1y aspect of a trial, be it a bench or jury trial. He will show how to improve your performance, and your chances of winning, as to eve1y aspect o( the trial, by motions in limine, opening and closing statements, direct and cross-examination, and eve1ything else that comes up from before the trial starts, to post-trial motions, even after the jmy has rendered its verdict.
For example, he will revisit the Ten Commandments of Cross-Examination of Irving Younger (who some leading litigators consider "The Godfather of Evidence").
As important as it is to win a trial, it is more important that your trial victo1y be upheld on appeal. Mr. Greenberg will also show how to protect the record, so that if you win at trial, the trial victory will be affirmed on appeal. He will also prepare you if you lose the trial; your success in winning the appeal will often depend upon whether you preserved your right to appeal the trial court's errors.
In addition, Mr. Greenberg will teach and emphasize those strategies which maximize your chances for success on appeal.
