Retired Connecticut Superior Court Judge Robert L. Holzberg, who has more than 30 years of judicial and private practice experience conducting mediations of complex, multi-party mediations of federal and state court matters, will share his 10 Practical Tips for a Successful Mediation. He will share with participants his experience in typical issues that counsel must consider in devising their mediation strategy, including preparing the client for mediation, formulating and responding to demands and offers, mediation advocacy, devices for working through impasses and the timing of presenting “last, best” settlement positions. In addition, he will offer his thoughts on lessons learned from conducting mediations during the pandemic and the impact on the practice of ADR going forward.
