Greer  Griffith, Esq.

Greer Griffith represents clients in civil and criminal government enforcement matters, restructuring litigation and complex commercial litigation. She has extensive experience in the FinTech & Blockchain, healthcare and academic industries. 

Greer advises on some of the cryptocurrency and blockchain industry’s most complex and novel matters, including representing Prime Trust, a leader in the cryptocurrency space which held more than $3.8 billion in cryptocurrency and fiat currency at its peak, in connection with its Chapter 11 cases. 

Greer regularly represents clients accused of healthcare fraud and abuse, including violations of the False Claims Act (FCA), the Anti-Kickback Statute (AKS) and the Physician Self-Referral Law (Stark Law). She also counsels’ clients on compliance issues and works with them to develop and implement compliance programs. 

Greer co-leads the Firm’s Institutional Sexual Misconduct Response Team (SMRT) and handles all aspects of sexual misconduct investigations, litigation, and Title IX matters. She is certified to conduct Title IX investigations.

 Greer is a leader of the New York Summer Associate Program and the New York Gender Diversity Subcommittee. She maintains an active pro bono practice, which includes being part of a team appointed by the Massachusetts Governor to conduct an independent investigation of a deadly COVID-19 outbreak at a veterans’ home. Greer also is accredited by the US Department of Veterans Affairs and represents military veterans in connection with VA disability claims and appeals.

 Prior to joining McDermott, Greer clerked for the Honorable Norma Levy Shapiro in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
