Elisa Reiter, who is Board Certified in Family Law and In Child Welfare Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, joins CELESQ to present on the many forks in the road that must be traversed by family lawyers and mental health professionals in domestic relations matters. From cases where subtle aspersions by one parent regarding the other can grow to blatant parental alienation, to cases where the only hope left appears to be reunification therapy for families where children have grown beyond estranged to alienated, Mrs. Reiter will discuss what lawyers and litigants should expect from such cases, with particular attention to how mental health professionals impact such cases. She will also address the difference between clinical interviews, forensic interviews, and how to best present or attack the testimony of mental health professional in such litigation. If you are an in-house counsel or involved in counseling employees at your firm who make you their first stop when confronted with divorce and/or modification of custody, this presentation is a must listen for you!
