This program will discuss the risks associated with attorneys’ use of third party vendors; their own obligations as vendors to their clients, and the rules of ethics that mandate attorneys to act reasonably and responsible when selecting vendors that may access client confidential information. 

We will further discuss: 

  • Attorneys’ obligations when they or their third party vendors are compromised under the Rules of Ethics.
  • Contract considerations with third party vendors to address these risks,
  • Issues to address when developing an internal vendor management policy.
