The presentation of key witness testimony via direct examination is critical to success at trial. Many lawyers rely on testimony preparation approaches that are cumbersome and confusing to witnesses. Effective, clear testimony preparation can deliver clear, cohesive support to the case and simultaneously insulate the witness from attack on cross-examination, but the lawyer needs to know where to start and how to involve the witness and where to work to elicit the most persuasive aspects of testimony. This program is designed as a "how-to" skills course for lawyers on conducting important initial steps for preparing and eliciting powerful trial testimony both in deposition and in court.
