Over the last few years, patients and providers have continued to turn to telehealth as a convenient and efficient health care delivery model. However, long-standing legal barriers—including limitations and restrictions on reimbursement, technology options, and multijurisdictional practice capabilities—have inhibited widespread adoption. During the COVID-19 pandemic, federal and state authorities have relaxed many of the legal restrictions impacting telehealth and as a result, there has been a significant increase in telehealth utilization for both COVID-19 and non-COVID-19 services. In this webinar, we will review the legal issues confronted by telehealth providers, before, during and after the COVID-19 crisis. Attendees will learn about: obstacles to multijurisdictional practice (licensing, telehealth practice standards) common corporate structuring options fraud and abuse pitfalls reimbursement mechanisms COVID-19 temporary changes
