Starting January 1, 2023, the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA) will require businesses to treat employee/HR data and personal information collected in a business-to-business capacity as within the scope of that law. This may translate to significant operational changes for many organizations used to such information being—to this point—excluded from the scope of the CPRA’s predecessor, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).

Please join us for this 1-hour, CLE-eligible webinar that will provide a practical overview of the CPRA and its likeliest logistical impacts for businesses located inside and outside of California.

Topics will include:

  • New consumer privacy rights under the CPRA, including in relation to employees and B2B contacts
  • Implementing website and mobile app opt-out mechanisms for “selling,” “sharing,” and limiting the use of “sensitive personal information”
  • Addressing new contractual requirements and service provider obligations
  • What to potentially expect for security audits and privacy risk assessments
  • Updated notice and transparency requirements
  • Enforcement changes
