California passed a flurry of new labor and employment laws this year some dealing with COVID-19, but some much broader in scope. These include an expansion of family and medical leave, a new pay data reporting obligation, and new COVID-19 workers compensation presumptions and reporting obligations. Most of these laws go into effect on January 1, 2021, but a few are already in effect now.
