The “New Normal” of COVID-19 impacted every aspect of our lives and the legal profession has not been spared. This course considers the evolution of attorney professional ethics and the practice of law in the context of the global COVID-19 outbreak. The ABA model rules, with a particular focus on rules 1.1, 1.2, 1.4, 1.6 and 1.7, as well as specific state rules of interest will be examined together with case law through the lens of real-world examples. Common risks and corresponding options for practitioners will be explored.

Risk management techniques and best practice recommendations will be discussed for immediate and effective implementation in your practice and firm.
