This course discusses the various cyber-based risks attorneys face from standpoints of both legal malpractice risk management and ethical obligation compliance. Cyber-based claims continue to be an exponentially growing threat to lawyers and impact every area of practice. 

This program examines the basics of legal malpractice claims together with related ethical considerations. Practical advice for anticipating, mitigating and surviving cyber crises will be explored. Cyber-based causes of action, common defenses and jurisdictional considerations will be discussed as well as risk management techniques and best practices. Both newly admitted and experienced attorneys, from solo practitioners to those in national firms, will benefit from the real world tools provided.
