Simone A Handfield, Esq.

Simone A. Handfield, Esq. is Senior Counsel with Levy Employment Law, LLC and brings over 20 years of experience as an employment attorney and human resources consultant. Simone regularly advises clients on a variety of employment matters, focusing primarily on workplace investigations and anti-harassment training and counseling. Simone also utilizes her employment law experience to review employee handbooks, counsel on day-to-day workplace issues, negotiate offer and separation letter agreements, conduct FLSA audits, and review and advise on enforceability of restrictive covenants. She counsels employers on all aspects of the employment relationship. 

Simone began her career as an Assistant Attorney General in the New York State Department of Law, and subsequently worked in private practice in the Labor and Employment Law departments of Seyfarth Shaw and then Proskauer Rose LLP, representing employers in all types of employment litigation, appearing in state and federal courts, administrative agencies, and arbitration. In 2003, Simone joined the Employment Legal Group at Deutsche Bank in New York, where she provided day to day counseling on all aspects of employment law, advised on workplace investigations of discrimination and harassment, conducted Bank-wide reviews of exempt and nonexempt positions for FLSA compliance, and managed outside counsel in employment litigation at all levels. Following Deutsche Bank, Simone returned to private practice at Lyons McGovern, LLP in White Plains, where she continued to focus on representing employers in employment litigation, negotiating offer and severance letters, providing workplace advice on day-today issues, and managing workplace investigations. 

Simone earned her law degree from Syracuse University College of Law, and her undergraduate degree in Journalism from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is a member of the Westchester County Bar Association, the New York State Bar Association, and the Westchester Human Resource Management Association.
