As more and more employees than ever before to work from home (“WFH), businesses face new and different data privacy and security risks. This change is not lost on U.S. regulators, but it does not mean that businesses will get a pass on data privacy and security issues potentially caused by the shift in working conditions. In an effort to help businesses navigate these new circumstances, this program will discuss many important considerations for U.S. businesses trying to navigate the new normal including: regulator guidance, wireless network security, laptop security, handling sensitive electronic and hardcopy data, securely destroying data, sharing devices among employees and their family members, malware, incident response planning, risk assessment adjustments, and several more issues. Throughout the program, practical advice will be provided with an eye toward satisfying regulators who are looking for slipups as businesses migrate their workforces into the WFH future.
