Congratulations! You have successfully completed law school and passed the bar exam. You’re also now a licensed attorney and you are excited to practice law. Well deserved, counselor! Professionalism is key in the legal profession, and it is imperative to understand the value of always maintaining professional with clients, opposing counsel, judges, and all judicial staff from the bailiff to the clerks and the courtroom administration. 

This program, presented by Chazle’ Woodley, will discuss the importance of professionalism as a new attorney and provide real-life examples of what can happen when professionalism is not closely upheld. The program will cover grievances, disbarments, suspensions, reprimands, and letter of warning and caution to help you navigate the process when a client or opposing counsel files a complaint against you.

  • Identify all NC State Bar grievance terms.
  • Discuss how to navigate real-life scenarios.
  • Examine alternative routes for how to navigate issues that arise with clients and opposing counsel.
