This course will review the federal, state and local laws and guidelines regarding COVID-19 that govern private workplaces in NYC. The presentation will address the NYC vaccine mandate and to whom it applies as well as how to respond to workers seeking exemptions from vaccine mandates. The course presenter’s will break down the New York State and New York city requirements for time off for workers, and their children, to receive COVID-19 vaccinations and boosters. The presenters will also explain the New York Hero Act requirements, including what actions business owners must take both when the prevention plans are activated and when they are not. The course will address current guidance around masking. 

Finally, the presenters will discuss the policies that employers should consider implementing based on the current guidance pertaining to isolation and quarantine after exposure to COVID-19 or a confirmed case of COVID-19.
