Studies show that a diverse workforce has a positive impact on business culture, growth, and bottom lines. Yet, some organizations continue to struggle with hurdles related to FLSA, compliance, retaliation, and more. In addition, work production can falter when an employee doesn’t have the confidence that their concerns will be supported. Our seminar will outline the practical benefits of a diverse workforce, steps a business should take to create such a culture where people can be their best, and how to do more than mention “diversity” in the Employee Handbook. Brian Farrington spent 12 years working with the US Department of Labor Wage & Hour Division prior to law practice. He has served as an Expert Witness in employment matters and is a trained employment-related mediator. Casey Erick focuses on Commercial Litigation and Employment Law, and his client work includes matters related to retaliation, defamation, and FLSA.
