On March 15, 2022, President Biden signed into law the EB-5 Reform and Integrity Act (the “RIA”). The RIA makes sweeping changes to the EB-5 regional center program, a controversial but popular immigration program for investors to apply for U.S. permanent residence through investment in the U.S.
This program will discuss the substantive changes to EB-5 law affecting both “direct” and “regional center” EB-5 cases, and how existing investors and new investors are impacted by the new legislation.
