In this program, Venable LLP Partners Ha Kung Wong, Peter Shapiro, and Dennis McMahon will review the unique aspects of conducting IP due diligence in the Artificial Intelligence ("AI") space, whether you are simply evaluating an IP portfolio or evaluating a potential company acquisition or asset divestment, including discussing unique aspects of patentability, infringement, and inventorship (such as whether an AI can be considered an inventor). They will also discuss common ethical dilemmas in IP due diligence and how to navigate them.
