Notable Property Decisions from the Supreme Court

The United States Supreme Court rendered several decisions in the last term dealing with eminent domain and property. The program will discuss the cases which, among other things, held that the federal government had the right to delegate to private companies’ federal authority to condemn state owned property. Also discussed will be the denial of an opportunity to review Kelo v. City of New London and a regulatory taking claim when state law allowed union organizers to enter private property.
