This program will provide an introduction to what digital assets are, how they work, and the basics of the technology that allows them to operate. We will discuss uses for the technology, including practical advice on how a user can enter into the world of digital assets. We will discuss risks of digital assets, using real world examples of losses, scams, and hacks to show the risks and provide ways of mitigating these risks. We will also discuss the legal framework of this technology, including from a tax and regulatory perspective, and review recent legal developments involving the technology.
