Essie is a mediator and conflict resolution trainer who has facilitated mediations and trainings for hundreds of clients in diverse settings, including courts, businesses, universities, religious organizations, correctional facilities, and community non-profits. Until recently, Essie served as the Manager of Programs and Training at the Asian Pacific American Dispute Resolution Center (APADRC), a Los Angeles mediation center specializing in serving monolingual low-income clients in their native languages. Essie has also provided coaching and training through partners including the California Lawyers for the Arts, USC Gould School of Law, and the Women's Negotiation Academy at the Pepperdine School of Law. In 2019, Essie received her Master's Degree in Dispute Resolution from the Straus Institute at Pepperdine School of Law. Essie is the founder and director of LLC, a mediation, training, and coaching company focused on improving communication through interactive, experiential learning.
