Jeffrey W. Carr, Esq.

FMC Technologies

Jeffrey W. Carr, Esq. has served as FMC Technologies' Vice President and General Counsel since April 20, 2001. He joined FMC Corporation in November 1993 as International Counsel in Philadelphia, and in 1997 became Associate General Counsel for FMC's energy and airport systems business groups. In addition, he is the corporate attorney responsible for the design and implementation of the FMC-ACES law firm engagement model, FMC's in-house International Corporate Compliance Programs, and FMC's intranet legal support program. Prior to joining FMC, Mr. Carr practiced international trade law in Washington, D.C. with Willkie Farr & Gallagher and Wald Harkrader & Ross. Mr. Carr received a B.A. with honors in Government and Foreign Affairs from the University of Virginia and a J.D. with honors from the Georgetown University Law Center.

 

Mark Chandler, Esq.

Cisco Systems, Inc.

Mark Chandler, Esq. is Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of Cisco Systems, where he manages a team of 160 professionals. Previously, he was Managing Attorney at Cisco for the Europe, Middle East and Africa region, based in Paris, and general counsel of StrataCom, Inc., which was acquired by Cisco in 1996, and also served as vice president for corporate development and general counsel of Maxtor Corporation, a Fortune 500 manufacturer of computer data storage devices, from 1988 to 1994. Mr. Chandler received a bachelor’s degree in 1978 from Harvard College and a doctor of jurisprudence from Stanford Law School in 1981.

Paul Lippe is the CEO of Legal OnRamp, a Silicon Valley based initiative founded in cooperation with Cisco Systems to improve legal quality and efficiency through collaboration, automation and process re-engineering. Previously, he was an executive at Synopsys, where at various times he served as Senior Vice President and General Counsel, and CEO of Stanford SKOLAR, a medical digital library and e-learning company sponsored by Stanford Medical School. A frequent speaker on legal and operational issues, Mr. Lippe, a graduate of Yale College and Harvard Law School, has spoken at Harvard Business School, Stanford Business School, Stanford Law School, the Law Firm Leaders’ Forum, the Stanford General Counsels’ Institute, among others, and published in diverse periodicals such as the National (Canadian Bar Association), the ACC Docket, the American Lawyer, the San Jose Mercury News, Electronic News and Electronic Engineering Times.
