Avoiding a Financial Fiasco: Compliance with EPA's Financial Assurance Requirements
Program Number: 1879E
Program Date: 10/21/2008
Description
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has identified the enforcement of financial assurance requirements as a "National Priority" through fiscal year 2010, and its Financial Advisory Board has been actively examining the issue. Financial assurance is required under several statutory regimes, including Superfund, RCRA and underground storage tank regulations, yet many regulated companies are unfamiliar with—or even unaware of—their obligations. Join us as our presenters, Jeffrey Bromme and Kerri Stelcen of Arnold & Porter LLP, provide an update on EPA's enforcement activity, as well as an overview of the most significant regulations and tips for avoiding compliance issues.
